Hoewel ik in Almere woon, rijd ik door heel Nederland voor bruidsreportages. In Almere verzorg ik eigenlijk bijna geen bruidsfotografie. Almere (Flevoland) is kennelijk niet de meest trouwgrage stad van Nederland. Helemaal leuk vond ik het dan ook dat Femke & Richard mij wél vroegen voor hun trouwdag die zich helemaal in Almere zou afspelen. Vrijdag 2 mei was het zo ver.
Rond middaguur kwam ik aan bij het huis van het bruidspaar, waar de bruid zich rustig aan het voorbereiden was. Ik was wat aan de vroege kant en had daardoor tijd om wat details extra op de foto te zetten. “Ik heb hier nog de trouwschoenen van mijn oma, kun je die ook op de foto zetten?” Graag! Oma was er helaas niet meer bij, maar door de schoenen uit 1943 (uniek hè?) heeft ze toch een plekje gekregen in de hele reportage. Terwijl Femke in de make-up werd gezet, maakten haar vader en haar zus de lunch klaar. En toen was het tijd om samen met haar moeder de jurk aan te trekken. Terwijl Richard ongeduldig om de hoek in een mooie sportauto stond te wachten…
Er was geen twijfel over mogelijk: Richard vond zijn bruid de mooiste. Een dikke glimlach op zijn gezicht en een lachende en applaudisserende familie toen ze elkaar voor het eerst zagen. De oh’s en ah’s over Femke’s jurk en Richard’s pak kwamen daarna veelvuldig aan bod tijdens de lunch, waar ook ruimte was voor wat speeches en cadeautjes. Maar niet teveel, want we moesten natuurlijk nog op pad voor de trouwreportage. Femke & Richard, wonend in Almere-Haven, hadden gekozen voor een paar locaties om de hoek. Wat veel mensen namelijk niet weten is dat Almere een enorm natuurrijke stad is. Zo fotografeerden we aan het water op de dijk en in het Kromslootpark. Ook zouden we nog even op de plek van het ja-woord, het Eksternest, fotograferen. En terwijl ze daar stonden in een prachtig bomenlaantje, brak de zon door! Een extra cadeautje.
Inmiddels hadden familie & vrienden zich verzameld bij de trouwzaal en was het tijd voor hun entree, want slechts een klein deel van de gasten (ouders, zussen en aanhang en goede vriendin) hadden hen nog maar gezien. Overbodig om te zeggen dat de oh’s en ah’s hier rijkelijk aanwezig waren. Het huwelijk werd weliswaar voltrokken door de buitengewoon ambtenaar van de burgerlijke stand (ook wel babs genoemd), er was echter één persoon die het bruidspaar toesprak i.p.v. wat normaal de babs doet. De zus van Richard had een onwijs mooi verhaal geschreven en bracht dit alsof ze elke dag mensen in het echt verbindt. Uniek! Niet verrassend dus dat er ook wat traantjes vloeiden.
Blijdschap was er na het ja-woord, vooral bij Richard (zie foto): zijn Femke was nu echt van hem. Daar moest op gedronken worden, mega-lekkere taart bij aangesneden worden & ook de felicitaties vlogen in het rond. Er was nog even tijd voor familiefoto’s, voor speeches van de beide vaders en toen liet ik het gezelschap achterwege voor het diner. Diezelfde avond verstuurde ik de eerste previews, met een dikke glimlach op mijn gezicht.
We hebben alle foto’s inmiddels goed kunnen zien, en nog een keer, en nog een keer… Geweldig om de dag zo nog een keer te beleven. Wat een superdag was het! En wat zitten er pareltjes tussen de foto’s. Vooral de ‘spontane’ foto’s waar interactie plaatsvindt, zijn erg mooi. Echt het moment gepakt. Ze zijn precies zoals je op je site omschrijft, fris en met een verhaal. Zoals de dag was en zoals de mensen zijn. Heel leuk! En het licht en de kleuren zijn ook supermooi trouwens! Maar daarom hadden we ook voor jou gekozen natuurlijk. – Femke & Richard
